MLIS Specialization and Certificate of Advanced Study in Digital Preservation at Kent State University


The School of Library and Information Science at Kent State University now offers two programs in the Digital Preservation area:

1) Digital Preservation specialization, as part of its 37-credit MLIS degree program

2) Certificate of Advanced Study in Library and Information Science, focusing on digital preservation. The CAS is an 18-credit post-MLIS program that targets working professionals who wish to update their skills in this area, as well as recent graduates who wish to extend their expertise in the management of digital objects.
